Currently, most of the refractory mud used for the construction of baking furnace flue walls is clay-based, with an Al2O3 content between 45% and 48%. The manufacturing process is simple. However, during high-temperature use, the clay refractory mud exhibits low bonding strength and flexural strength at both low and high temperatures. This results in loose brick joints under continuous exposure to high temperatures and gas pressure, causing the joints to crack and leading to deformation and subsidence of the flue wall, ultimately reducing the service life of the baking furnace’s flue wall.

Our company has developed a high-temperature refractory mortar specifically for constructing baking furnace flue walls, utilizing organic and inorganic chemical additives combined with special clays. This product has a high chemical bonding strength (greater than 5.0MPa) at 110° C and begins to form a ceramic bonding phase at 1100° C, with a bonding strength three times that of national standards and twice that of imported products. It also maintains good bonding strength across temperature ranges from room temperature up to 1400 ° C. For ease of construction and transportation, our company has also developed a water-mixed high-temperature mortar that has similar performance characteristics to the liquid-mixed version.
